DIY Eames Hang-It-All Tutorial
As a big fan of the Eames Hang-It-All, I am so, so impressed with Danielle Thompson’s DIY Tutorial to make your own (via Ohdeedoh). It’s fantastic and it doesn’t cost $179, as it does everywhere else.

I tend to shy away from DIY projects that include a drill and spray paint, but I am tempted by this project. If I give it a shot, I’ll definitely post the results here.

A few days ago I was watching tv when a commercial came on (that I didn’t fast forward through strangely) for Audi that showed a beautiful series of changing rooms in a home with an even more amazing set of chairs that looked like a cross between an Eames chair and an Adirondak. As a fan of both of these designs, I started searching for the chair online to find out more and came across a post on Apartment Therapy that a had already identified the mystery seat as a Diz Chair by Sergio Rodrigues, a Brazilian architect and designer. I can’t track down the price without contacting a dealer, but I would guess it costs a pretty penny.
Sigh. I just love it.
