Don Draper cocktails
In the true spirit of Mad Men, I myself have been lusting after something on the show. No, not Don Draper (Ok, fine. Yes, I have.); it’s the choice of glassware at the Sterling Cooper office. The silver rimmed highballs have been calling my name since the earliest episodes and I have been looking for them ever since with little luck.
I knew it would only be a matter of time before these vintage glasses had a maintstream come back, but it looks like West Elm is the first to offer something similar. Check out their double banded platinum glassware.
It’s a close match if you want a modern twist on the design, but I was looking to kick back old school style with some rye whisky in a high ball. Actually, who am I kidding? Mine would be filled to the rim with a G+T. But, at least it would be a classy G+T.

A few days ago I was watching tv when a commercial came on (that I didn’t fast forward through strangely) for Audi that showed a beautiful series of changing rooms in a home with an even more amazing set of chairs that looked like a cross between an Eames chair and an Adirondak. As a fan of both of these designs, I started searching for the chair online to find out more and came across a post on Apartment Therapy that a had already identified the mystery seat as a Diz Chair by Sergio Rodrigues, a Brazilian architect and designer. I can’t track down the price without contacting a dealer, but I would guess it costs a pretty penny.
Sigh. I just love it.
